The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) will be celebrated across the world from November 18th to 24th, and Montreal (Canada) will be taking part in the celebration with its strong entrepreneurial spirit.
According to Bonjour Startup Montréal, there are over 400 startups in the city. According to Startup Génome, it ranks Montreal 33rd amongst the most dynamic ecosystems in the world. In addition, these local emerging companies are present internationally, and make an economic difference in the Quebec landscape: they constantly generate various types of jobs, thanks to their rapid growth.
Last year, Montreal was elected city with the most activity in Canada. Dozens of events organized in 2018 earned Montreal this honorable mention.
Events not to be missed during the GEW
Powered by Futurpreneur Canada and #bonjourstartup, innovators of the city will be able to take advantage of the GEW to open their horizons and meet up. Whether coding, artificial intelligence, social economy or finance-related; this week will be filled with events from various industries.
One of the main events, the Raising Capital conference, will be hosted by The Tech Society on November 18th and promises numerous panels and roundtables to connect startups with investment opportunities, as well as the expertise of business leaders and professionals.
The Rendez-vous M – Mentoring for Network Entrepreneurs M on November 19th-20th will be accompanied by inspiring conferences and hands-on workshops in which the human being behind the entrepreneur will be guided and mentored.
The Hackathon Social – Décodons l’inclusion of November 22 organized by Dynamo will focus on innovation in social development.
