“Une soirée Mtl inc. presque parfaite” / An almost perfect Soirée Mtl inc. As was the title of the 2021 edition of our annual fundraising event was under this thematic which took place on November 17, 2021. In an hybrid format, the Soirée Mtl inc., presented by Desjardins gathered donors, partners and the 10 Mtl inc. prize finalists in person at the Notman House.
You were more than 100 participants virtually who brought your energy with the 50-some people present in person!
Emceed by journalist and tech columnist Pascal Forget, and livestreamed, the Soirée Mtl inc. showcased our annual pitch competition between 10 Mtl inc. Laureats of our 2021 cohort who shone the most in the last year! Linzi Shang, cofounder of Gallea, was selected as Entrepreneur of the Year, thanks to the votes from partners and the public.
This event was also the occasion to hear testimonials by entrepreneurs who received services by Mtl inc. during the last year – Chantal Bernatchez, winner of the FoundHers grant, and Jonathan Hershon Saint-Jean, 2020 Mtl inc. prize winner – as well as a message by Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante.
Thanks to the nine other finalists: Alexandre Turbide (BeatConnect), Dave Pouliot (Coinmiles), Philippe Chartrand (Empego), Matthieu Clas (HookMotion), Edward Ko (Mely.ai), Charles Couture-Lebrun (Off the Grid), Jean-Denis Rocheteau (QuoteMachine), Amanda Truscott (Rithmik Solutions) and Guillaume Hervé (Zetane Systems).
The Soirée Mtl inc. ended with a networking event allowing finalists to connect with partners and donors.
