How do you choose the participants of the Élan course?

  • Projects in the ideation phase and/or at the very beginning of market validation
  • Project ideas that stand out for their originality, potential to meet a market need, commercial potential and impact in society
  • Participants who want to learn and grow, motivated and ready to commit to the program
  • Intention to launch the business project in Montreal

 

April 29 to July 15, Fridays 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Cohort of 10 women selected from the Boost cohort.

Workshops, 1:1 coaching, and breakout sessions.

 

Topics covered:

  • Test and adjust the development of your first PROTOTYPE OR minimum viable product (MVP) with potential customers
  • Confirm your assumptions
  • Define your business model
  • Learn the art of pitching and practice in front of a caring jury
  • Demystify financial forecasting and fundraising
  • Develop the premises of a marketing strategy

 

How do you choose the participants of the Envol course?

From the Boost cohort, 10 participants will be selected for the rest of the program (the Lift course)

We select the projects that have stood out the most in terms of their advancement during the Boost course as well as the advancement of the entrepreneurs themselves (learning, path taken, demonstrated leadership)

 

GRANT

At the end of the Envol course, a jury will select a finalist who will leave with a start-up grant of $5,000 + 6 months of free support.

  • Profile: Be a woman, aged 18 and over (no age limit)
  • Innovation: Your idea must stand out for its originality while HAVING THE POTENTIAL TO RESPOND to a real market need. It has the potential to impact society
  • Ideation stage: You are in the infancy of an idea or a business project. You have not yet taken serious steps to validate its feasibility or you are at the very beginning of your market validation steps
  • Montreal: Living in Greater Montreal and wanting to start your business in Montreal
  • Commitment: Be available on the dates of the course and be motivated

  • Non-profit projects
  • Projects of a sexual, religious or political nature
  • Projects related to illicit or recreational drugs (projects related to therapeutic drugs are considered)

participate to the BOOSTcamp

Only 15% of the entrepreneurs in Montréal are women. Montréal inc. wants to change the statistics by supporting ambitious women in making their entrepreneurial dream a reality. The program is geared both to the development of human potential and the development of the idea into a business project.

This program is offered once a year. For those who will not be able to apply to this cohort, see you at the next winter 2022 edition.
