The grand-messe 2021: 230 participants and 40 startups in our living room

Friday May 14 was celebrated the 6th edition of the grand-messe Montréal inc., powered by Behaviour. 230 people were present, and created more than 250 connections! So many opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet investors, the media, customers and representatives of the ecosystem.

We were not able to welcome participants in a fair but we brought together the 40 startups selected as the most promising in the metropolis in their living rooms! They made their “public confessions” (pitches) and welcomed the participants to their virtual booth.

Behaviour was part of the event to award a Prix coup de coeur to LFant Medical in the Sciences and Health category:

“Few challenges are as exciting as getting your own company off the ground. I’ve been there more than once, I know what it takes and that spirit of adventure and entrepreneurship remains fundamental to Behaviour,” says Rémi Racine, CEO and Executive Producer at Behaviour Interactive. “It is truly a pleasure to support La grand-messe Montreal Inc. and to put Behaviour’s know-how at the service of the talented entrepreneurs it brings together.”

Congratulations to the startups who received a media blessing during the event:

  • Empego, in the Sciences and Health track by Ulysse Bergeron from Le Devoir
  • Gallea, in the Society track by Maxime Johnson from L’Actualité
  • AWOS Technologies, in the Tech track by Denis Lalonde from Les Affaires
  • Saison 2, in the Environment and sustainable development track by Alain McKenna from Le Devoir

The beauty of the virtual? 4 continents were represented among the participants: America, Europe, Asia and Africa!

“This event remains a must for our community to discover the most innovative emerging companies. Our fair, with everyone in their own living room, continues to bring together as many curious and to create connections within the business community. We hope to meet in person for the next edition,” says Liette Lamonde, executive director at Montréal inc.
