Fintech Challenge Competition 2023

The Fintech Challenge is your chance to work on some of the most important challenges facing the financial technology sector. Pick a challenge, form a team, or go solo, and participate in the biggest fintech competition in Canada!

This year for the first time, teams will embark on the thrilling journey of tackling financial challenges by utilizing various stages of the Design Thinking process.

Competition Dates

The Fintech Challenge is a 1-week hybrid competition, starting on October 20th until October 28th

*Hybrid sessions: In-person for teams located in Montreal. For teams outside of Montreal, an online format will be available.

• Day 1 | Oct 20th (*Hybrid): 4pm-6:30pm – Kick Off +Teamwork Workshop + Meet the Mandators
• Day 2 | Oct 21st (*Hybrid): 1 pm-6:15pm – Design Thinking Overview and Ideation Workshops + Activities
• Day 3 | Oct 23rd (Online): 6pm-7:45pm – Sessions with the Challenges Mandators & with Subject Matter Experts
• Day 4 | Oct 27th (Online): 4pm – 7pm – UX/UI Design Workshop + Teamwork + Session with Subject Matter Experts
• Day 5 | Oct 28th (Online): 2pm -5pm – Challenges solutions’ presentations & Winners announcements

Team Formation

Before the competition begins, participants will be invited to two optional mixology events on September 20th and October18th to meet other fintech enthusiasts.
